Hyderabad: The second three-day G20 Digital Economy working group meeting concluded on Wednesday, with the next edition scheduled to be held in June in Pune.

As many as 81 foreign delegates from eight guest countries, five international organisations and one regional organisation took part in the event.

The foreign delegates, during the three days, visited the Indian Institute of Technology to gain a first-hand experience of India’s expertise in emerging digital telecom technology and cases about citizens’ welfare.

A workshop on multi-stakeholder consultation for mutual recognition of digital skills was held on the second day.

Three panel discussions on related themes — ‘high speed mobile broadband and its impact on lives, society and industry’, ‘connecting the unconnected’ and ‘sustainable green infrastructure’ — were held, with experts sharing their views.

Several cultural programmes were also held across the three days to showcase the rich culture, art, cuisine and folk art of India.
