Hyderabad: Seven individuals, who were operating first-aid centres and providing treatment to vulnerable patients without any MBBS qualification in Rangareddy, were detected by the inspecting teams of the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) on Monday.
The quacks against whom cases will be filed at the local police stations by the Medical Council include Lingachari, who was operating Om Sai First Aid Centre, Mustafa at Mustafa Clinic, Venkatesh at Master Clinic, Anjaiah at Sri Sai Clinic, Balraj at Shravan First Aid Centre, and Md Ghouse Amzad, who was operating Zam Zam Clinc.
“Vials of diclofenac sodium injection with nearly 100 loaded in syringes were seized, along with calcium injection and calcium gluconate in syringes. We have also witnessed rampant irrational use of medicines because of prescriptions. In the coming days, we will file cases against them as per NMC 34,54 Act and TSMPR Act 22, and BNS Section 318, 319,” he said.
