Shah Rukh Khan is known as the King of Romance for a reason. He has wowed us all with versatile performances but his charm is unmissable when he presents himself in a romantic role on the big screen. Yes, the actor is especially known for his romantic dramas, which we blame for setting high expectations for love within all of us!

One of his most loved and celebrated movies which was also a massive hit and highest-grossing film of 1995, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring Kajol, was re-released on SRK’s birthday on November 2 at theatres across the country.

The film’s ticket was sold at Rs 100 with GST addition, making the total price of the ticket Rs 112. You will be happy to know that the film set the cash registers ringing at its re-release, even after 27 years.

Yes, according to trade expert, the film minted almost Rs 25 lakh net. Yes, According to a report in boxofficeindia.com, the film which was screened at a few select cinema chains collected almost Rs 25 lakh net. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel revealed the same, he wrote “#DDLJ collects ₹ 23 lakhs on its release on Wednesday ( 2nd November) at limited Multiplexes across the country.. “

Sumit also shared that PVR earned Rs 13.10 lakh, Inox Rs 5.54 lakh, and Cinepolis earned Rs 4.40 lakh.

The film is a romantic drama, and it was originally released in 1995. The film bagged 10 Filmfare Awards and the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Even at its re-release, many theatres reported the shows to be Houseful!

Well, it is safe to say that SRK’s magic and supremacy continue to wow us all each time!
