Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki shoot disrupted in Jabalpur amid Besharam Rang row

The controversy around Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan song Besharam Rang seems to be escalating with each passing day. After several politicians raised objections over the video of the chartbuster song, a section of netizens kickstarted the #BoycottPathaan trend on social media. And now, as per the latest reports, the Besharam Rang row has reached the set of King Khan’s Dunki.

PROTESTORS DISRUPT DUNKI SHOOT

As per reports, the activists of the Hindu organisation Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal barged into the set of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in Jabalpur and disrupted the shoot. However, neither King Khan nor any other prominent cast member was present at the location.

The reports further stated that when the police tried to stop the protestors, they pushed them and tried breaking the barricades. They also raised slogans and were heard chanting Hanuman Chalisa.

Reacting to the ruckus created by protestors, CSP Priyanka Shukla said that the film is being shot in Bhedaghat after obtaining statutory permission from the collector. On the other hand, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have also submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar to protest against the shooting. They have stated that any actor who insults saffron will not be allowed to shoot at the ‘Tapobhoomi of Narmada coast’.

The shooting of Dunki has been underway in Bhedaghat and Dhuandhar for the past three days with SRK’s body double.

BESHARAM RANG ROW

Several politicians have raised objections over the colour of Deepika Padukone’s monokini in Besharam Rang. The Vishal and Sheykhar composition has remained a top trend across social media platforms ever since its release.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan marks SRK’s comeback to the big screen after 4 years. The actioner will hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
