Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chief Medical Officer (CMO) P Sujatha, who was slated to retire from service on March 31, is facing an investigation by the company vigilance officials.
According to sources, the vigilance officials have checked the mobile phones of Sujatha and her family members, besides her bank transactions.
The investigation was said to be undertaken into the alleged irregularities that took place in the medical invalidation of employees last month. The company medical board and the Chief Medical Officer have to approve medical invalidation of employees with critical ailments so that any one of their children would be offered employment in the company.
Incidentally, Sujatha was felicitated by the company Director (E&M) D Satyanarayana Rao, Director (P&P) K Venkateswarlu and others on Saturday at a programme organised by the CPP Department at the Singareni head office in Kothagudem marking her retirement.
