A speeding private bus collided with a stationary truck loaded with onion bags from the rear. The bus sustained significant damage to its windshield and passenger entry door, while the rear of the truck suffered partial damage in the incident.
Khammam: Six persons suffered minor injuries in an accident at Sitaramapuram village of Penuballi mandal in the district on Friday.
A speeding private bus hit a stationary truck laden with onion bags from the rear. The windshield and passenger entry door of the bus was fully damaged while the rear part of the truck was partially damaged in the incident.
Bags of onion fell on the road due to the accident and police had to stand guard to prevent them being stolen as the price of one kilogram of onions touched Rs 60 mark in the market.
The injured were shifted to Penuballi Government Area Hospital for treatment. The bus was going to Eluru from Hyderabad while the onion truck was going to Vizag. VM Banjar police booked a case in connection with the accident.
