Software Engineers Kindly Don’t Call’: Viral Matrimonial Ad Leaves Twitter In Splits

Finding love in a world of online dating, catfishing and ghosting is tough. It’s even tougher if you’re finding someone not just to date, but to marry. Parental and societal pressure apart, navigating your way through a forest of strangers, each promising a happily ever after, is exhausting.

Especially when you can’t find someone who is on the same wavelength as you and has different expectations from a relationship. While you can’t tick everything off your wishlist when it comes to looking for a partner, there are always some non-negotiables that you just can’t compromise on.

A recent matrimonial ad in a newspaper recently revealed a demand — a non-negotiable of sorts. The woman who posted an ad had no qualms about men from different professions reaching out to her for a match.

Everyone except software engineers.

The tweet went viral as Twitter had a field day laughing over the ad and wondering what the woman has against software engineers? Did she date one and not have a happy experience? Was it a profession her parents did want their daughter marrying into?
