As Revanth was heading to the shop, the dogs pounced on him and attacked, resulting in severe injuries. He suffered injuries on the eyelids, hands and head, according to reports.
After Revanth screamed in pain, his mother and neighbours rushed to his rescue. He was immediately rushed to Government General Hospital in Kurnool and is undergoing treatment.
Residents fumed that despite repeated complaints about rising stray dog menace, the municipal officials were not taking any measures to control the menace. They complained that the dogs were particularly targeting senior citizens and children.
