‘Tejashwi Yadav will become Bihar CM in few months…’: RJD MLA Izhar Asfi claims

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Izhar Asfi expressed confidence that it might take some time but Tejashwi Yadav will become the Chief Minister of Bihar. “The people of Bihar want it and I think most of the leaders of the state are ready for it but there are some formalities, maybe it will take a month or two. But Tejashwi Yadav will indeed become the Chief Minister of Bihar,” Asfi said today while to reporters in Bihar’s Kishanganj.

Notably, RJD state president Jagadanand Singh also expressed a similar hypothesis saying Tejashwi Yadav will become the chief minister of Bihar in 2023. The RJD leader further said that the nation is waiting for Nitish Kumar while Bihar is waiting for Tejashwi to become the CM.

“Whatever Nitish Kumar had announced, I believe that he will fight for the country after the end of 2022 and will hand over the future of Bihar to Tejashwi Yadav in 2023,” Singh said. “The post of chief minister is the highest in the state and Tejashwi will take it further. The country is waiting for Nitish Kumar and the people of Bihar are waiting for Tejashwi Yadav,” he added.

Notably, the former rivals, JD(U) and RJD joined hands in Bihar after Nitish Kumar broke ties with long-time ally BJP earlier this year. JD(U), Congress, RJD and left parties formed the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ government in the state with Nitish Kumar as the CM and Tejashwi Yadav as his deputy.

Since then, RJD leaders have repeated shipped Nitish Kumar’s name as the Opposition’s joint candidate for the post of Prime Minister in the 2024 General Elections. RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav today said that just like the ‘public rejected BJP in Bihar, he can predict that the flag of ‘Mahagathbandhan’ will fly at the Centre.’ “Public has rejected BJP govt in Bihar. I can predict the future too. Last time, I had predicted about Chachaji (Nitish Kumar), today he’s with us. Today, I predict that the flag of Mahagathbandhan will fly at the Centre,” he said.
