Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) is contemplating on introducing internals for intermediate students from the forthcoming academic year.
The new initiative has been proposed up during the recent syllabus revision committee meeting with the subject experts suggesting internal assessments for intermediate students as well
If the proposal fructifies, the intermediate public examinations may be conducted for 80 marks and remaining marks will be allotted to internal assessments – practical or projects.

As part of the project work for non-science subjects, students may be asked to take up assignments or projects on the given topics lie budget or historical places.
Economics students may be asked to do project work on their family or personal budget, listing out their expenses on various things, while history students may have field visits to historical places such as forts and make a detailed project report as part of the assessment.
“We will have clarity on this after the conclusion of the ongoing intermediate exams,” sources said.
Presently, the Environmental Education subject is being conducted as an internal examination, which is qualifying in nature. However, marks obtained in this test will not be added to the total score.
