According to a senior official, the question paper was photographed and circulated on WhatsApp from a centre in Nalgonda district during the final stage of the examination.
Hyderabad: An examination centre chief superintendent and department officer were suspended, and an invigilator was relieved in the Nalgonda district as the Class X question paper was circulated on WhatsApp on Friday the first day of the SSC Public Exams.
According to a senior official, the question paper was photographed and circulated on WhatsApp during the final stage of the examination.
“With new security measures – QR code and security number – in place on the question paper, we could easily identify the centre from where the paper was sent out via WhatsApp. We identified the student and officials concerned. A malpractice case is booked and criminal action will be taken,” the senior official said.
School Education director EV Narasimha Reddy said some photographs of the question paper were circulated on WhatsApp in a deliberate attempt to vitiate the smooth examination atmosphere, creating confusion among students and parents.
“Spreading of any rumour will be viewed seriously,” he added.
