Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy on Friday suggested availing the services of transgenders as volunteers in streamlining the traffic and providing employment to them on the lines of home guards. He ordered the officials to collect the details of those interested in volunteering.
The Chief Minister also enquired with the officials about the progress in the development of roads, footpaths, cleaning and other works under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
He directed that the works should be completed within the deadline under any circumstances and contractors who got the tenders but neglected the works, should not be ignored.
He also sought a comprehensive report within 15 days on the contractors who have failed to complete the works and cautioned that action would be taken against the officials if any false reports are furnished.
