Siddipet: An 18-year-old first-year degree student died by suicide at her residence in Yellamma Jalu village of Chinnakodur mandal on Monday.
The student, Danaboyina Akhila, was the daughter of a farmer couple, Raju and Lakshmi. The incident came to light when the couple returned from their agricultural field and found their daughter hanging from the ceiling.
The reasons for Akhila’s decision to end her life were not immediately known. Her body was shifted to government hospital in Siddipet for postmortem.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
