The two-judge Bench was dealing with the illegal transaction of 103 acres in Survey Numbers 181 and 182 in Nagaram village, Rangareddy district
Hyderabad: A two-judge Bench of the Telangana High Court, comprising Acting Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Renuka Yara, directed the high-level committee constituted with three IAS officers — Naveen Mittal, Raghunandan Rao and Shashanka — to submit its report with regard to the alleged usurping of Bhoodan land by EIPL Constructions within three weeks.
The Bench was dealing with the illegal transaction of 103 acres in Survey Numbers 181 and 182 in Nagaram village, Rangareddy district. The State government has placed before the court a detailed report on the action taken against the irregularities.
It is stated that the Bhoodan Board has also initiated independent proceedings and further issued eviction notices under Section 24 of the Bhoodan Yagna Act, while deleting the names of third parties as pattadars in the Dharani portal.
The name of the Bhoodan Yagna Board is now reflected in the Dharani portal.
The Enforcement Directorate is also investigating the matter and has issued summons to District Collector Amoy Kumar, Tahsildar RP Jyothi, RDO Venkatachary, other officials and private individuals involved, and recorded their statements as part of the investigation.
Taking note of the said facts, the Bench has adjourned the matter for the report of the high-level committee.
