Telangana: Inspire India Science and Technical Expo held at Priyadarshini College for Women

Analog Astronaut Scientist Jahnavi Dangeti explained about NASA’s astronaut programme that includes activities like zero gravity, multi-access training and underwater rocket launch

Khammam: Kalam Institute of Science and Excellence (KIYE) Hyderabad in collaboration with NRSC, ISRO, DRDO and DRDL organised Inspire India Science and Technical Expo at Priyadarshini Institute of Science and Technology for Women in Khammam.

Speaking on the occasion the college chairman Katepalli Naveen Babu thanked the head of KIYE Naresh Indian for organising the expo at Priyadarshini College. Through the event, students would be able to know the importance of science and technology in the development of the country, he said.

Naresh Indian said he was inspired by the vision of former President APJ Abdul Kalam and one of the main motives for starting KIYE was to motivate youth to follow the ideals of Kalam. The institute was working to create responsible citizens, dedicated to youth development and environmental management as well as to create a sustainable future for coming generations.

National Remote Sensing Centre scientist R Srinivas said that ISRO contributes significantly to India’s development through advancements in communication, weather forecasting, disaster management and agriculture. ISRO satellite technology has revolutionised communication, especially in remote areas, providing better connectivity and access to information.

DRDO scientist Dr K Veerabraham said the DRDO has successfully developed and produced strategic systems like Agni and Prithvi series missiles, Tejas light combat aircraft, Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher and Akash air defence system, which have significantly increased India’s military power.

Priyadarshini College Principal Dr B Gopal, Academic Director Atluri Venkataramana, TESMA president G Kantharao, Madhu Vidyalaya Sanstha head M Veerabhadram and others addressed the students.
