Over 250 grams of gold, Rs 10 lakh cash recovered from the offenders in both the cases
Karimnagar: The Karimnagar police arrested two burglars, including a property offender, on Friday.
Producing the accused before media persons here on Friday, Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam explained the modus operandi of burglars. Karimnagar town-I police found a person moving under suspicious circumstances while conducting patrolling in the Kaman Chowk area.
On questioning, he revealed his name as Kandi Sampath Reddy and confessed to the crime of stealing luggage bags from passengers. A native of Nawabpet of Chigurumamidi mandal, Sampath Reddy used to target passengers at the district headquarters bus stand and steal luggage bags from them.
Around 150 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 10 lakh cash were recovered from him. In another incident, police found Sura Ravi while moving under suspicious circumstances at Padmanagar Chowk. On checking, 105 grams of gold, including two gold biscuits, were found on him.
A native of Narsampet of Warangal district, Ravi stole gold and cash from a house in Saptagiri colony here on April 13 this year. Earlier, he had also been involved in more theft incidents.
