Veera Swamy accidentally slipped and fell into the water body while he was going in for a bath
Medak: A man from Nagarkurnool district drowned in the Ghanpur anicut near Eduapayala temple on Friday.
Identified as Veera Swamy (40), he was a native of Marikal in Pedda Kothapally mandal.
Swamy arrived at the temple to attend a function. He ventured into the water body for a bath when he accidentally slipped and drowned.
The body was retrieved. He is survived by wife and four children.
The Papannapet police have registered a case.
The body was taken to the Medak government hospital for a post-mortem examination.
