Telangana: Police arrest three persons for killing youth at Edupalaya in Medak district
The trio held the youth responsible for getting caught by the police during a drunk driving check and decided to eliminate him
Medak: The Papannapet police cracked the mystery behind the murder of a youth who was found dead at the Edupayala temple on March 8.
According to the police, the victim, Gourelly Vinod Reddy (22), was a resident of Sangareddy. Vinod, along with three of his friends were caught by the police while they were riding their bikes in an inebriated condition on February 17.
As the police filed drunk driving cases, they had to pay fines to get their vehicles released through the court.
The other three felt that the police filed the case against them due to Vinod’s arrogant behaviour during the checking. They developed a grudge against Vinod and decided to eliminate him.
The trio — Vadla Naveen Kumar, Kammari Ramana Chary, and Begari Ramulu — invited Vinod to Edupayala on March 8. After consuming liquor, they allegedly beat him to death and dumped his body.
The three were arrested and produced before court which remanded them in judicial custody.
