Telangana: Raids reveal food safety violations at Kshatriya Foods, Varalaxmi Tiffins

The inspecting teams observe dirty floors, water stagnation at the eateries

Hyderabad: Violations of food safety norms were observed by Commissioner of Food Safety teams during their inspection of Varalaxmi Tiffins, Gachibowli and Kshatriya Foods, Kavuri Hills.

At Varalaxmi Tiffins, the kitchen was found in unhygienic condition with unclean walls and broken flooring including rats that were seen outside the kitchen area, exhaust was greasy and oil was found to be dripping. There was water stagnation due to clogged drains and food waste was being thrown directly into the drain and not being removed regularly, the inspecting team reported.

At Kshatriya Foods, Kavuri Hills, the flooring was found to be dirty with broken tiles and water stagnation was observed. The chimneys were found greasy with oil/grease dripping down. The drainage was found to be clogged with food waste and houseflies were found in vegetable cutting area. The refrigerator was found in unhygienic condition. The vegetarian and non-veg food stored together. Chicken/Mutton blood found seeping and frozen.
