Telangana: SERP completes training for first batch of rural women in event, canteen management
These women, who were drawn from various districts of Telangana, underwent a 10-day residential training program conducted at the campus in Gachibowli
Hyderabad: The Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), Department of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, trained the 1st batch of rural women in Event Management and Canteen Management.
These women, who were drawn from various districts of Telangana, underwent a 10-day residential training program conducted at the campus in Gachibowli.
The training in event management was conducted by Telangana Chamber of Events Industry (TCEI) and experienced members of TCEI who are successfully running their businesses in the events field for about two decades were providing training to the women .
The women candidates were trained in different crafts of event management, such as decorations, sound and light, various types of tent house material, catering services, self-grooming, presentation skills and overall event management services.
Training in canteen management was conducted by senior chefs of NITHM and candidates were trained in different types of snacks, salads, gravies, sandwiches, tiffins, powders, Telangana sweets & savouries, cakes, cookies and Hyderabadi Biryani.
They were also taught on soft skills, food presentation & plating, hygienic preparation, menu planning, food service, licenses, Kitchen and canteen maintenance.
