Telangana students in northern states rush home amid India-Pakistan conflict

So far, a total of 86 individuals, mostly students pursuing higher education in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, have reached the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi

Hyderabad: As tensions between India and Pakistan persist, Telangana residents residing in northern States bordering Pakistan are rushing to return to their hometowns.

So far, a total of 126 individuals, mostly students pursuing higher education in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, have reached the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi.

On Saturday night, 91 individuals, including 50 students pursuing education at National Institute of Technology – Srinagar reached the Telangana Bhavan. Among those who arrived at Delhi, 57 individuals have already been facilitated with transport and safely left for their respective hometowns in Telangana.

Anticipating further arrivals, Resident Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Uppal reviewed the preparedness and ongoing arrangements at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday. He held a detailed inspection with all officials and staff concerned to ensure that food, lodging, medical, and transport facilities are in place and functioning efficiently.
