Hyderabad: The suspension of 160 Agriculture Extension Officers (AEOs) for their non-participation in the Digital Crop Survey has sparked protests at the grassroots level in the agriculture department.
The State Committee for AEOs has issued an urgent call to action. All the 2600 AEOs in the department have been urged to show solidarity with their suspended colleagues.
The committee has stressed that the issue of the suspended AEOs could become everyone’s issue.
The State Committee for AEOs appealed to all members to recognize the importance of this struggle, emphasizing the need to safeguard their rights and address their collective concerns.
The committee is meeting at the commissioner’s office to decide the plan of action.
The committee leaders will be meeting the Minister, secretary and Commissioner concerned to apprise them of the concerns of the AEOs who were already been over burned with the workload they have already been discharging.
