Rajanna Sircilla: A 60-year-old woman, Bollu Mallavva was hacked to death in Chandurthi mandal on Monday evening.
According to police, a person attacked Mallavva with a sickle near Peddamma temple while she was returning to home from agricultural fields. She died on the spot with severe bleeding injuries.
The exact reason for the murder is not yet known. She was survived by son and daughter.
Knowing about the incident, police rushed the spot and began investigation by registering the case.
Body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
