Temple submerged in water due to heavy rain in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri
Due to heavy rains in Ratnagiri for the last 3 days, many parts of the city have submerged in water due to floods. The Kajali River water level rose due to non-stop rain. A Matha or a temple was drowned in the river in Ratnagiri.
The temple is a self-contained Datta Temple in Lanja Taluka. Presently, half the temple is submerged.
The villagers said that if the rain continues like this, the water will reach the top of the temple. Devotees come from many places to visit this Datta temple.
Meanwhile, the new state CM Eknath Shinde has asked the state administration to closely monitor the situation in Mumbai. Moreover, the administrations in six districts, viz. Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Kolhapur have been directed to be prepared to shift residents from flood-prone areas.
