The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested B. Sudhakar Reddy, a Sub-Engineer with TGSPDCL, for accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe to process a file related to meter upgrades and transformer installation. The incident occurred in Lalaguda, Secunderabad.
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials nabbed B Sudhakar Reddy, a Sub-Engineer of TGSPDCL in the Lalaguda section in Secunderabad for demanding and accepting a bribe on Friday.
ACB officials said Sudhakar Reddy demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant for processing the file to upgrade from single-phase meters to three-phase meters, along with the preparation of the estimation copy for the installation of an electric transformer.
He was produced before the special court for ACB cases and remanded to judicial custody.
