The Crown’s Claire Foy dazzles on the red carpet in Alexandre Vauthier haute couture for Women Talking premiere
Claire Foy has gone from strength to strength since her stellar portrayal of the young Queen in The Crown.
Her recent nuanced performance as the hedonistic Duchess of Argyll in A Very British Scandal, confirmed what we already knew. The 38-year-old actress is the queen of the silver screen.
Now she is promoting her most recent project, and has proved she’s also a regal presence on the red carpet, attending the 66th BFI London Film Festival at The Royal Festival Hall in a simply stunning Alexandre Vauthier haute couture dress. Claire’s ensemble was crafted by long-time stylist Nicky Yates, who also counts Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dyvenor and Emma Raducanu among her A list clientele.
To complete the look, Nicky’s team paired Claire’s outfit with the show stopping ‘Aura’ sandals from Aquazzura, from the Italian brand’s new partnership with Swarovski. “I’ve been using their crystals since the very beginning of Aquazzura,” creative director Edgardo Osorio told Hello! Fashion, “For the concept behind the shoes, I wanted this style to be all about the crystals and woman’s legs… a woman walking in crystals and nothing else.”
Claire is currently promoting her new film Women Talking
Claire also apted for a pair of dazzling earrings from emerging haute joaillerie designer Tatiana Verstraeten. It was at Chanel, under Karl Lagerfeld ‘s watchful eye, that Tatiana started creating jewellery. Karl was to become her all time reference in terms of rigour and elegance. In January 2019, Tatiana launched her own eponymous high jewellery collection at 24 Place Vendôme in Paris. In just one year her pieces were seen on the likes of Cate Blanchett, Naomi Campbell and Florence Pugh.
Women Talking, which Claire stars in alongside the likes of Jessie Buckley, Rooney Mara and Frances McDormand, is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Miriam Toews. It tells the story of a group of women from an isolated religious community grappling with their faith after a series of sexual assaults.
