Three individuals from Banjara village in Yerrupalem mandal went missing on Thursday after entering the Kattaleru stream near Meenavolu bridge for fishing. Despite search efforts led by local officials and expert swimmers, they remained untraced by late evening.
Khammam: Three persons from Banjara village in Yerrupalem mandal went missing in the Kattaleru stream near Meenavolu bridge on Thursday.
The missing individuals, Badwat Raju, Bhukya Koti and Mukta, had ventured into the stream for fishing but failed to return. Following the alert, local Tahsildar Usha Sharada and Sub-Inspector of Police Ramesh reached the spot and launched a search operation with the help of expert swimmers.
Efforts were underway until late evening to trace the missing persons.
