Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary R. Devraj said that star batter Tilak Varma will continue to play for Hyderabad only in domestic cricket.
In a statement on Thursday, Devraj said he spoke to Tilak, now playing for Mumbai indians in the IPL, and said that all rumours were being spread about him moving over to Goa.
It may be mentioned here that India opener and Mumbai’s Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to represent Goa next season on being promised leadership.
“I have spoken with Tilak Varma this morning, and can confirm that these rumours are completely baseless and untrue. Tilak Varma remains committed to representing his home state, Hyderabad, and takes immense pride in doing so,” Devraj said
