Sangareddy: Two persons suffered injuries when officials demolished an unauthorized multi-floor structure constructed inside the Malkapur lake using explosives here on Thursday.
Such was the impact of the blast that one home guard Gopal and another worker suffered injuries after debris from the explosion hit them. They were immediately shifted to a local hospital, according to reports.

A team of officials from Revenue and Irrigation departments visited the location on Thursday. Using explosives, officials blasted the structure, which collapsed within minutes. However, two persons suffered injuries in the demolition.
A Secunderabad resident had constructed the structure inside the full tank level limits of the lake. The structure was equipped with a staircase, which enabled residents to enter the building without stepping into the water. The structure owner and family members used to utilize it as a weekend home, reports said.
