Kothagudem: Two women labourers were washed away in Peddavagu project flood canal near Chennapuram in Aswaraopet mandal of the district on Saturday.
The women Paladugula Chennamma and Pachishala Varalakshmi accidentally fell into the canal when they were returning home after working in a field at Chennapuram. Both hailed from Puchikapadu of Andhra Pradesh.
A search operation was launched to trace the women.
