Hyderabad: Sahyog, a ‘train the trainer’ program by Umeed, a nonprofit organization in partnership with the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, and Social Venture Partners, India-Hyderabad Chapter, was launched here on Friday.
Umeed is a women empowerment and career readiness training organisation working in Telangana for the last 10 years. Led by two women leaders, Udita Chadha and Gauri Mahendra, Umeed has successfully delivered multiple training and empowerment programs across the state.
Sahyog, their second partnership with the Education Department, was launched today at RUSA Resource Center Hyderabad, in the presence of Prof. G. Yadgiri, Joint Director, Prof. DSR Rajendra Singh, Joint Director, Prof. P Bala Bhaskar, Academic Guidance Officer (AGO), Chandrasekhar, TSKC Incharge, Gauri Mahendra, Co-Founder &
President, Umeed, Aamrapali Sharma, CEO, SVP India-Hyderabad Chapter, Suravaram Sujatha Reddy, Partner, SVP India-Hyderabad Chapter.
‘Sahyog’, aims to strengthen the already existing employability structures of the education department. The program is designed to train Full time Mentors (FTMs) of the Telangana Skills and Knowledge Centre (TSKC.) Through the training, FTMs will gain hands on experience of skills, knowledge, values and network required to execute their mentorship role effectively.
