The 19-year-old consumed insecticide as she was upset with her parents’ decision to get her married against her will
Kothagudem: A young woman allegedly attempted suicide at Rayapadu village of Allapalli mandal in the district on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old identified as Sode Nandini attempted suicide by consuming insecticide at her home. She resorted to the extreme step as she was upset over her parents’ decision to get her married against her will.
The health condition of the teenager was said to be critical. She was shifted to the Government General Hospital in Kothagudem for treatment.
It was said that Nandini had not eaten for the past three days in protest against her parents’ decision.
