Hyderabad: Chiyaan Vikram’s latest film, “Veera Dheera Sooran,” faced unexpected release delays due to a legal issue. The film will not be released in India until 10:30 a.m. on March 27, Friday, due to an interim court order.
The dispute arose after B4U Entertainment, which acquired the film’s digital and satellite rights, ran into a conflict. As a result, major theater chains like PVR and Cinepolis removed some scheduled shows in Bangalore.
The issue also affected overseas screenings, with USA premiere shows being canceled at the last minute. This caused frustration among distributors who had already paid for the film and were left dealing with refunds and rescheduling.
Varun co-founder of Tendkotta and founder of SJ Cinemas, questioned why such problems frequently occur with Tamil films. He emphasized that financial matters should be resolved before announcing premiere schedules.
Veera Dheera Sooran is a Tamil action thriller directed by S U Arun Kumar and produced by Riya Shibu under HR Pictures. It stars Vikram, S J Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan and Siddique.
