Several student organisations on Saturday attempted to enter the Assembly, demanding the release of pending fee reimbursement and scholarships, and the revocation of GO No. 97, which merges polytechnics with Young India Skills University, established under a public-private partnership. They also demanded the resolution of various student issues.
ABVP and TRSV activists raised slogans against the government as they attempted to proceed towards the Assembly. However, police intercepted them and took them into custody.
The protesters demanded immediate action on their grievances, particularly the withdrawal of GO No. 97 and clearance of pending fee reimbursement dues.
