Hyderabad: Tense moments were witnessed on the Malakpet – Saidabad road after an electricity transformer exploded on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the fire officials, fire started in the transformer located on the road near Officer’s Mess function hall allegedly due to overload. On noticing it, the local police stopped the traffic on the busy road for a while.
A fire tender from Malakpet fire station rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
