Watch: Farmers forced to wait till night for urea in Vemulawada MLA’s native village

Farmers in Rudrangi mandal, including women, were forced to wait until late night for urea supplies at the Rythu Seva Kendram. They alleged repeated delays over the past month and criticised the Congress government’s handling of fertiliser distribution.

Rajanna-Sircilla: Farmers in Rudrangi mandal, the native village of Government Whip and local MLA Adi Srinivas, were forced to wait until late night on Friday to receive urea supplies.

Farmers from surrounding villages began arriving at the Rythu Seva Kendram in the afternoon, but even by 10 p.m. they were yet to be given their allotment. Among those waiting were several women farmers, who said they had no choice but to remain late into the night.

They alleged that despite visiting the Rythu Seva Kendram repeatedly over the past month, urea bags were still not provided. Some said that during the previous BRS government, fertilisers and other inputs were supplied promptly under the leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao, but that the situation had worsened under the Congress regime.

Women farmers expressed frustration, pointing out that they had left their children at home to come to Rudrangi for urea and questioned how they were expected to return to their villages so late at night.
