Hyderabad: A fire broke out in the emergency wing of the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Punjagutta on Saturday.
No casualties were reported, but equipment was damaged.
As per available information, a short circuit is suspected to have led to the flames breaking out in the ward which is located on the fifth floor of the hospital building.
People on the hospital premises informed the management who called the fire control room.
The fire department officials along with the fire engine were reached the spot and the fire and smoke was brought under control.
The estimation of the damaged material was to be done.
