A major fire gutted a cloth showroom near Tower Circle in Karimnagar on Wednesday morning. The blaze, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, spread to neighbouring shops before firefighters brought it under control after two hours.
Karimnagar: A major fire broke out in a cloth showroom near Tower Circle here on Wednesday morning, reportedly due to a short circuit.
The fire originated at Kapila Dresses and quickly spread to neighbouring shops, including Vinayaka Enterprises photography shop and Canon Photography. Large quantities of dresses and other material stored in the showroom were completely gutted in the blaze.
Alerted by locals, fire department personnel rushed to the spot and battled the flames for nearly two hours before bringing the situation under control.
