‘Will this bring back our daughter?’ Disha Salian’s parents after Maharashtra govt announces SIT probe

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the death of Disha Salian, who was the manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. However, Disha’s parents have opposed reopening of the case, saying that a lot of investigation has already been done.

“Will the SIT bring back our daughter?  Why is all this being done? The case is already closed by Mumbai police. A lot of investigations have already been done, then why again?” Disha Salian’s parents told India Today.

“We are living in peace now, then why all this again? We want to ask only one question will this bring our daughter back? Please let us be at peace,” they added. “We don’t want anything and we don’t want to get involved in anything now.”

Disha Salian had allegedly died after falling off a high-rise building in the Malad area of Mumbai on June 8, 2020, a week before Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence. BJP leaders, including Nitesh Rane, had alleged foul play in the case and demanded a probe.
