In Narayanapur village, Asifabad, a woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband over a family dispute. The 38-year-old victim died on the spot. Police are investigating the incident and awaiting a formal complaint to determine the motive.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A woman was allegedly hacked to death by her husband following family disputes at Narayanapur village in Rebbena mandal early on Saturday morning.
Police said that Gajjela Sravanthi (38) died on the spot after being hacked by husband Thirupathi around 5 am. Sravanthi was found in a pool of blood when Thirupathi attacked her with an axe, supposedly suspecting her fidelity. The couple has a son and daughter.
Asifabad ASP Chittaranjan, Rebbena Inspector Sanjay and Sub-Inspector Venkatakrishna inspected the scene of the crime. Police stated that the exact reason would be known once a complaint was received.
