Two cars travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada collide with each other; one of the cars veers to the left and gets hit by an oncoming lorry
Hyderabad: A 29-year-old woman, Sravani, died in a major road accident involving two cars and a lorry in Choutuppal municipal area on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway.
According to reports, the incident occurred when two cars travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada collided with each other. Following the collision, one of the cars veered to the left and was hit from behind by an oncoming lorry.
Sravani, who was travelling in the car that was struck by the lorry, died on the spot. Three persons were reportedly travelling in the vehicle. The impact was so severe that police had to deploy an earthmover to extricate her body from the wreckage.
Local police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
