Xiaomi 13 and iQOO 11 China launch postponed suddenly, but why?
Xiaomi 13 was said to go official on December 1 while the iQOO 11 series was supposed to launch a day later, on December 2. But both events have been postponed. Neither of the companies revealed the reason behind delaying their launch event. The reason is believed to be a mark of respect for the sudden death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. None of the companies has revealed the new launch date of their respective smartphones.
Ahead of the launch, a lot of details about the Xiaomi 13 as well as the iQOO 11 series have surfaced online. Xiaomi also announced it will unveil its next-generation MIUI dubbed MIUI 14, but that is also on hold for now. Let’s take a closer look at what leaks and rumours have revealed about the Xiaomi 13 so far. It is said that the series will include two phones – Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Xiaomi 13 specifications (leaked)
As far as the specs are concerned, the Xiaomi 13 is tipped to offer a 6.2- inch AMOLED display with 120hz screen refresh rate. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s newly launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Notably, the same processor will power the upcoming OnePlus 11, the company has already confirmed. Rumours have also revealed that the Xiaomi 13 will offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is said to be backed by a 4800mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging in the box.
In terms of camera system, as per the leaks, the Xiaomi 13 will offer a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor coupled with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. On the front, the phone is said to feature a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
There are no details on the pricing bit yet, but rumours suggest that the smartphone will be priced somewhere around Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000.
iQOO 11 Pro specifications (leaked)
Almost everything about the iQOO 11 has been leaked online ahead of the official launch. As per the recently leaked specs sheet, the series will include two phones – iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro. The latter will be a more expensive one and offer a better set of specs. As per rumours, the iQOO 11 Pro will offer a 6.78-inch144Hz E6 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 4,700mAh battery with 200W wired and 50W wireless charging, 50-megapixel triple rear camera system and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
