Yashwanth Pendyala turns the page after ‘Committee Kurrollu’ — Deets inside!

Hyderabad: After winning hearts with Committee Kurrollu, actor Yashwanth Pendyala is all set to lead his next film, Kathakali, a psychological crime thriller that was officially launched on Saturday, May 10, with a traditional puja ceremony. The film promises to be an intense and emotional ride and marks a major step forward in Yashwanth’s career.
The grand launch event was made special by actress Niharika Konidela, who gave the ceremonial first clap. Producer Harshith Reddy switched on the camera. Kathakali is produced by Ravi Kiran Kalidindi under Manyata Productions and presented by Mira V Presents. It is directed by debutant Prasanna Kumar Nani.
At the launch, Yashwanth said, “I am very thrilled to be part of Kathakali. I believe in characters that carry the story forward, and in this film, every role is important. I have full faith in the story and director Prasanna Kumar’s vision. Every technician in our team is highly skilled, and I’m excited to begin shooting from June 11 in Amalapuram.”

The film also marks the debut of Damaraju Madhoo Preetha, a Telugu girl making her entry into the industry. Her raw honesty and emotion stood out at the launch. “This is my first film, and I’m both excited and nervous. I’m completely focused on my craft. I’m thankful to Prasanna Garu and Ravi Kiran Garu for believing in me. Yashwanth has been so supportive throughout the look tests and workshops. I hope to make my people proud with this role,” she said.
Veteran actor Brahmaji also joins the cast, adding weight to the story with his experience. Cinematography is handled by Jithin Mohan, while Pavan Kumar is scoring the music.
