Tanuku (Andhra Pradesh): YSRCP leader Karumuri Nageswara Rao on Thursday slammed the TDP-led government in Andhra Pradesh calling it a “dictatorial regime”, following an attack on his convoy during a public campaign.
Rao alleged that Janasena activists vandalised his vehicle near Tanuku Town Boys High School in West Godavari district during his “Babu Surety – Cheating Guarantee” programme. “The attackers behaved like psychos. If a former minister is unsafe, what about common people… this dictatorship should end,” Rao told reporters in Tanuku.
He alleged that the activists tore down posters of YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and disrupted the event by waving Janasena party flags and the promotional posters of party chief and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s film ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’.
The former minister demanded strict police action. He also recalled that his house in Attili came under attack during an Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) election by coalition supporters.
Further he criticised Kalyan for ignoring Janasena party cadre and backing TDP. “Kalyan’s repeated praise of Naidu has become unbearable for Janasena workers,” Rao claimed.
