Ponnam alleges water scarcity in Vemulawada, threatens to lay a siege to municipality

Rajanna-Sircilla, May.4 (NSS): Claiming that Vemulawada temple town was facing acute water scarcity, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar warned the State government that his party activists would lay a siege to Vemulawada Municipal Office if the water scarcity problem persists.
Alleging that local MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh was confined to Germany, Ponnam said water scarcity aggravated due to filling the lake with earth in the name of development of the town. He also alleged that Mission Bhagiratha works were not launched in Vemulawada yet. He demanded that the government provide minimum facilities to the devotees coming to Vemulawada to worship Raja Rajeswara Swamy.  (NSS)
