Hyderabad: Two autorickshaw drivers found murdered in separate incidents
HYDERABAD: In separate incidents, two autorickshaw drivers were found murdered with multiple stab injuries on their bodies.
The body of Gudla Mallesh, 42, with multiple injuries, was found on the roadside of Potharam village in Shamirpet on Thursday morning.
Mallesh, a resident of Srisagar village, had left the house in an inebriated condition with an unidentified friend on Wednesday night.
“His wife Lingavva stopped him from going, but he pushed her to the ground and left with a stranger to consume more liquor,” police said. Police suspect previous enmity to be the reason behind his murder.
In another incident, autorickshaw driver Sidhanti Shiva, 23, who had gone missing from his house in Kothwalguda, Shamshabad, on May 16, was found dead near Chinamma Hotel, in Shamshabad, with multiple injuries on his body, on Wednesday.
Police said Shiva was in love with a girl from the same locality. On May 16, the girl’s parents barged into his house, grabbed his mobile phone and deleted his pictures with their daughter. Later, Shiva went missing. His family members lodged a missing complaint with the police on May 17.
Shiva’s family refused to cremate him till the police arrested the girl’s family members alleging they had murdered Shiva. However, with police intervention, they cremated the body at 9.30 pm on Wednesday.
Police booked cases of murder and are investigating both cases. Bodies have been shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
