BRS MLAs hopeful of getting party ticket for next polls

some leaders who are new entrants to Khanapur politics and trying for the BRS ticket are claiming they would get the backing from IT minister KT Rama Rao. Another leader claimed he has support from RS member Santhosh Kumar.

ADILABAD: Some BRS MLAs have expressed their confidence about getting the party ticket yet again to contest the next elections. “We will win the polls and work under the leadership of KCR, who will form government for the third time in Telangana,” they claim.

By doing so, these MLAs are sending a strong message to their political rivals within the party.

Sitting MLA Ajmeera Rekha Naik said she will again get the ticket and contest from Khanapur while Jogu Ramanna said his supporters wanted him to contest the polls and again support KCR’s leadership of the state.

“I am in regular touch with the party activists and the common people and am resolving their problems. There is no need for special meetings like Athmeeya Sammlanams to interact with the party cadre and people,” he said.

The differences between the BRS sitting MLAs and other leaders in the party in various constituencies came to the fore during the recent Athmeeya Sammelanams, at which senior leaders openly criticised the sitting MLAs and the minister from the respective regions.

Notably, some leaders who are new entrants to Khanapur politics and trying for the BRS ticket are claiming they would get the backing from IT minister KT Rama Rao. Another leader claimed he has support from RS member Santhosh Kumar.

There are many ticket aspirants in the BRS in Boath, Khanapur, Asifabad and Adilabad. New leaders are also lobbying for tickets while sitting MLAs are discouraging new entrants on various forums. in their own ways.
