Owaisi alleges Atiq’s killers belong to a terror cell
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday alleged the existence of terror cells in the country set up to train and provide weapons to members to realise the dreams of Godse. He said the killers of Atiq Ahmed and his brother belonged to these terror cells. Owaisi was speaking at the Jalsa Youm-ul-Quran on the last Friday of Ramzan at Mecca Masjid where he made an allegation that the members of the same terror cell which killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother was involved in the attempt on his life. Systra-led consortium wins Airport Metro consultancy bid

HYDERABAD: A consortium of engineering firms, Systra, RITES and DB Engineering, was selected as the general consultants for the Airport Metro Rail project, the Metro authority announced on Thursday, with the consortium winning it out among four other consortia. NVS Reddy, managing director of HAML, said, “This consortium will deploy 18 experts of different railway engineering disciplines and about 70 senior and field engineering personnel during the construction of Airport Metro. Hyderabad: One dead, two injured after truck hits bike at Langar Houz
Langar Houz Police said the mishap occurred when the trio was proceeding to their house from Langar Houz. Hyderabad: A teenaged girl died while her father and younger sister were injured when the two-wheeler they were traveling was hit by a rashly driven truck at Langar Houz on Thursday night. The victim was identified as Syed Nasreen Begum (18), an intermediate student. The injured are Syed Ghouse (48), a construction worker and Syed Nameera Begum (10), a class six student and residents of Brundavan Colony in Tolichowki. US Consulate in Hyderabad increases capacity to process 3,000 to 3,500 visa applications
The US Consulate has recently moved from Paigah Palace to the new campus in Nanakramguda, which is spread over 12 acres of land. Hyderabad: Once fully staffed, the new United States Consulate General Hyderabad campus at Nanakramguda, South Asia’s biggest Consulate, will have capacity to process 3,000 to 3,500 visa applications and other essential services of American nationals in a single day. As against 16 consular windows when the US Consulate operated from Paigah Palace, the present campus has 54 windows. However, all of them are not currently operational and are expected to commence once the Consulate adds more officers.
