Telangana Govt hikes DA for employees, pensioners by 2.73 per cent

The decision will benefit about 4.4 lakh government employees and 2.88 lakh pensioners in the State. Hyderabad: Much to the delight of State government employees and pensioners, the State government has issued orders revising the Dearness Allowance (DA) from 17.29 percent of basic pay to 20.02 percent of basic pay i.e. 2.73 percent hike. The orders will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2021. The decision will benefit about 4.4 lakh government employees and 2.88 lakh pensioners in the State. The revised DA will be paid along with the January 2023 salary, payable on February 1. Hyderabad: In a move that will accelerate the building plan approval process in a big way, efforts have begun to integrate data from Sub-Registrar Offices, Transferable Development Rights and Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) with the Telangana State Building Permission Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-bPASS). The aim is to expedite application processing, besides aiding in transparent, faster verification. Telangana: Revenue from stamp duty and registration to cross Rs 15,000 crore

According to officials, the total revenue during the last fiscal year stood at Rs.12,364 crore, whereas, during the current year it has already crossed Rs.9,531 crore. Hyderabad: Telangana saw its revenue collections from stamp duty and registration charges surging by 40 percent to reach Rs.9,531 crore by the end of the third quarter of the current fiscal year. Revenue officials are expecting to collect over Rs.15,000 crore during the current fiscal year, which is much higher than the projected target, which was Rs.13,000 crore. ‘Mens rea’ no criteria to escape from being levied damages: HC

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court said that the aspect of mens rea (a state of mind becomes a part of a legally punishable offence only when it produces harmful results) cannot be considered while levying damages on employers or private establishments for default or delay in payment of EPF contributions.
