Telangana HC pulls up govt over Ayush lecturer appointments

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court pulled up the state government for filling posts of lecturers in the Ayush department through a backdoor method, instead of direct recruitments, as per the Ayurvedic Medical Service Rules. Through government order (GO) 71 issued on June 28, 2022, the state government relaxed Rule-3 of the Ayurvedic Medical Service Rules, concerning direct recruitments for lecturers/assistant professors, through the conversion of in-service medical officers appointed under the non-teaching cadre. However, ayurvedic doctors challenged the GO in the High Court, which stayed the order and asked the government to file counters. Two workers killed in slab collapse of illegal construction

HYDERABAD: Two men died while working on the fourth floor of an illegal under-construction building in Kukatpally on Saturday evening when a portion of the fifth floor collapsed on them. Three others working with them survived, with one of them receiving injuries. GHMC officials said that there was only permission for stilt and two floors, and that the other floors were being constructed illegally, while the police said that sub-standard work resulted in the slab collapse. Bandi booked under non-bailable sections for forcing entry into collectorate

KAMAREDDY: The Devunipally police booked BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other party leaders under non-bailable sections of the law, for allegedly forcing their way into the Kamareddy collector’s office on Friday night. On Friday, Sanjay and BJP leaders had sought to meet the collector, Jitesh V. Patil, but were stopped by the police. They tried to force their way in, causing a melee, in which police and a few BJP workers were injured. A police patrol vehicle was also damaged. Poachgate: High Court tells CBI to await hearing of case
